It's amazing that has psychologically conditioned people to just keep every email they receive versus deleting them once read or unneeded. Makes it easier for them to crawl emails to target ads.

@jascha meh, there's no need for Google to recrawl emails every X period of time. They don't change like the web. Once the email is received, it's scanned, filed for keywords etc, and done.

It was meant to be an attack against Hotmail's 10mb quota. It turned people into data hoarders though.

Good point, I worded it poorly. I hear people complain how Proton free accounts are "only" 1GB lol
